The town of Isabel’s plans for long-overdue improvements to its sewer system were put on hold Monday, May 15, when the deadline to submit bids for the project passed without any contractors submitting quotes.
Town officials had hoped to receive multiple bids and award a contract for the estimated nearly $2.1 million project this week. Isabel’s current sewer lines were installed in 1953 and consist …
