August 19, 1955 –May 26, 2023
Lois K. Taggart was born August 19, 1955 to Orville and Kathryn Wallem of Dawson, MN, joining two brothers, Elwood and Keith. She attended first grade in a rural country school and transferred to Dawson Public School, graduating salutatorian in her class of 100 students. She was confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church. It was at Concordia College that she met her future husband Thomas D. Taggart. They married in 1975, and she graduated from Iowa State University in 1977, traveling home on weekends.
Lois worked for several law firms for 37 years, retiring in 2019. She was very active in the Crossroad Church, holding many positions and offices and was baptized a believing adult in 2019.
She loved to cook and was a very fine host to many friends. She was given the rare ability to eat a dish foreign to her and Tom and go to her kitchen and replicate it.
Lois was diagnosed with multiple system atrophy which gradually weakened her body and yet she 'rejoiced in Jesus, keeping her faith and the assurance that He had prepared for her a place in His Father's mansion and that she would step across into heaven's delights with her new body free of pain and joyously praising her Savior.' She died at the age of 67 years. She is mourned by her husband Tom and a number of family members.
