Edward Lee Gunderson, 51, of Eagle Butte entered the Spirit World on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Cheyenne River Health Center at Eagle Butte.
Edward is survived by his two sons, Edward Gunderson and Theodore “Theo” Wolf of Winnebago, NE; two daughters, Lillian Grace Gunderson of Omaha, NE and Sophie Gunderson of Sioux City, IA; his mother, Charlene Four Bear of Swift Bird; five brothers, Jeff Four Bear of Eagle Butte, Robert Woods of PIerre, David Woods of Swift Bird, Kola Eagle Hunter of Marksville, and Kyle Eagle Hunter of Mobridge; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at St. John’s Episcopal Church at Eagle Butte.Burial with full military rites followed at the Ascension Episcopal Cemetery at Black Foot. Rooks Funeral Home of Eagle Butte was in charge of arrangements.
