Constance L. Bird Necklace, 51, of Eagle Butte, entered the spirit world, Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Cheyenne River Health Center in Eagle Butte.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 20, 2023, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Burial was in the Congregational Cemetery at LaPlant.
Constance Lynette Bird Necklace was born August 16, 1972, in Eagle Butte to Dennis and Irma (Different Horse) Bird Necklace. She lived with her aunties, Pearl Brings Horse and Verda Bird Necklace, for a few years and later on she was raised with Trini, Trisha, and Bryce.
Connie loved to dance, cook, and spend time with her nieces and nephews. Connie is survived by her children: Caleb and Casca Black Bear; Tara, Alan Jr., Randy, Duke, Drew, Elliot, and Dillion Talks; Miraz Bird Necklace, and Zachery and Brandon; grandchildren: Cecelia Black Bear and Gisella and Aiden Talks; siblings: Bryce, Trisha, and Trini (Chip) Bird Necklace; aunts and uncles: Emery Different Horse, Mike and Patsy Bowker, Majel Bird Necklace, and Vern and Mazie Shelton.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, David Bowen. Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.
