Leon C. Useful Heart, 50, of Rapid City (and formerly of Eagle Butte) entered the Spirit World on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Rapid City.
Leon is survived by his mother Aurelia Elk Nation of Rapid City, daughters Stormy Richards of Denver, CO and Jasmine Richards of Rapid City; brothers Delure Useful Heart, Rapid City, Luke Elk Nation, Sioux Falls; Sisters; Priscella Engen, Custer, and Charity Elk Nation, Lawrence, KS.
A funeral service was held Saturday, November 18 at the Bingo Hall in Eagle Butte with Fr. Kurt Huber officiating. Burial was at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery at LaPlant.
Funeral arrangements were by Rooks Funeral Service at Star Nation Center, Eagle Butte.
