Terry High Bear, Sr., 65, of Brookings and formerly of Eagle Butte entered the Spirit World on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Terry is survived by his wife, Deborah High Bear of Brookings; four sons: Terry High Bear, Jr. of Madison, Ronald High Bear of Brookings, Eric High Bear of Rapid City, and Nicholas High Bear of Rydall, GA; a brother, Tony Garter of Georgia; three sisters: Malinda High Bear of Sisseton, Lola High Bear of LaPlant, Lynn High Bear of Eagle Butte and Barbara High Bear of Pine Ridge; and eight grandchildren.
His funeral service was held December 29 at the CRST Bingo Hall in Eagle Butte. Burial was at St. Paul's Episcopal Cemetery in LaPlant.
Rooks Star Nation Funeral Home of Eagle Butte was in charge of arrangements.
