Mary Joanne Krumm, better known as Joanne, passed away December 17, 2023 at her residence surrounded by family. Joanne was born and raised in the Mobridge area. Joanne and her husband Val farmed and raised their family near Trail City. She moved to the Worthington, MN area following the passing of her husband to be closer to her children.
Joanne loved to cook and bake along with doing her crafts and spending time with friends and family. She moved into the Ecumen Meadows and continued to enjoy those things.
Joanne is survived by her children: Brenda Schultz (Brad Schultz), Paulette Sjogren (Scott Sjogren), Paul Krumm (Paula Krumm), Doretta Krumm (Tom Traxinger), Colette Angle (Bruce Angle), Tom Krumm (Cindy Rogers) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at the Benson Funeral Home in Worthington, MN and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Worthington, MN, with Father Tim Biren officiating. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mobridge with Father Michael Griffin officiating. Burial will be in the Trail City Cemetery at Trail City.
Benson Funeral Home in Worthington was in charge of the arrangements.
