Nadine is the daughter of the late Clara Rose Lee of Whitewood and Peter Cass of Hot Springs, the late John Garter Jr., and the late Marylou Tree Top. Nadine grew up in Eagle Butte. She enjoyed going on the pow wow trail and dancing women’s fancy shawl. She loved traveling with her mom Rose and competing at as many pow wows as she could. In high school she was active in sports and music, playing volleyball, running cross country and participating in choir. She graduated in 1997 from Cheyenne-Eagle Butte High School.
In July of 2006, she became a mommy to her only baby girl, Ma’Leah Krisann, who was her pride and joy.
Nadine went on to work with the C-EB school system, where she was a substitute teacher for many years. Working with the youth was a passion of hers, as she would help anywhere she could. She made an impact everywhere she went and her kind and helping spirit will never be forgotten.
