Adeline (Lorenzen) Rorvig, 95, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at Clarkston Nursing Home in Rapid City.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2020 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Rapid City. Burial will be at the Timber Lake Cemetery on Saturday, October 10 at 1 p.m. MT.

Adeline was born on August 6, 1925 to Arthur and Emma (Jensen) Lenling in Glencross. She graduated from high school in Trail City.

She married Donald Lorenzen in March of 1946. She and Donald had three children, Arthur Lorenzen, Deborah (Lorenzen) Feiler, and Ronald Lorenzen. After Donald’s death in 1953, Adeline went back to school and earned a teaching degree.

Adeline lived a fulfilling life as a mother, teacher, and wife. While teaching in McLaughlin she met W.O. Rorvig, and they married. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and reading. In addition, she loved playing card games, especially playing pinochle with family. Most importantly, she maintained a close relationship with her church as well as an unfailing love for her Lord and Savior and continually showed appreciation for the many blessings he provided to her.

Adeline had a very close relationship with her sister, Carloyn Merkel of Rapid City, who preceded her in death by three years.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Larry) Feiler, son Ronald (Lavonne) Lorenzen; nieces Darlene (Larry) Hieb of Timber Lake, Marlene Graves of Shawneetown, MO, and Shirley (George) Ruhoff of Hot Springs; nephews Jeff Thomas (Barb) of Bismarck, ND and Virgil Lenling of Mobridge; as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-nieces and nephews.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Emma Lenling; both husbands, Donald Lorenzen and W.O. Rorvig; two brothers, Armin and Leo Lenling; three sisters, Amanda Thomas, Hazel Saupe, and Carolyn Merkel; her son, Arthur Lorenzen, and her niece Ruby Lenling.
