Angeline Maggie Holzer, 89, of Aberdeen and formerly of Timber Lake died December 26, 2022 in Aberdeen.
Mass of Christina Burial was held Friday, December 30, 2022 at Holy Cross Church in Timber Lake with Fr. Jim Hoeter officiating.
Burial will be in the Timber Lake Cemetery at a later date. Rooks Funeral Home of Mobridge was in charge of arrangements.
Angeline Maggie was born on October 14, 1933 in Trail City to Peter and Malonia Hummel. She grew up on a farm with her 13 brothers and sisters. After finishing 8th grade she helped on the farm until she met Joseph Holzer. The couple married on May 27, 1952 and bought a farm south of Timber Lake.. They made their home there until 1975. They then moved to Timber Lake where she became a baby sitter and teacher’s aide at the Timber Lake School. In 1998 they moved to Aberdeen.
Angeline is survived by three children: Tim (Debra) Holzer of Aberdeen, Alvin (Debbie) Holzer of Yuma, AZ, and Richard (Patricia) Holzer of Ely, MN; her siblings, Alice Holzer, Ben (Myrna) Hummel, Ed (Marilyn) Hummel, Loraine (David) Claus, Don (Nancy) Hummel, Diane (Dan) Ryan, Richard (Julie) Hummel and Jeff (Mary) Hummel; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-great-granchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; sons Benhard and James; her parents; brothers Eugene and Peter Hummel; and sisters Phyllis and Rose.
