Antonio T. Olvera, 22, of Dupree, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021, at Dupree, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Dupree High School Gym. Burial was in the Dupree City Cemetery.
Tony was born December 4, 1998 to Jesse Olvera and the late Dawn Hale. Tony was raised in the Dupree area by his mother and father. He attended school at Dupree from kindergarten through 12th grade. Tony started working at 16 years old for the City of Dupree with his brother and father. He helped take care of the town of Dupree. He also worked various construction jobs with Sharpe Enterprises for the past four years and spent a lot of his time in Pierre.
Growing up, Antonio spent a lot of time with his two brothers and his friends. He loved participating in high school sports and activities. He also loved fishing and hunting with his brothers. He liked to tell stories about the adventures he had throughout his life. He was the life of every event and made sure everyone was smiling and having a great time.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Stephanie Longbrake and their son, Roxen Ridge Tomas Olvera; brothers Jesse J. Olvera, Leon A. Olvera, and Tristan G. Olvera; nephews Cayden R. Olvera and Landen A. Olvera from his brother, Leon; three sisters Isabella R. Olvera, Gabriella R. Olvera, and Ariella Antonia Olvera; and his father, Jesse T. Olvera.
He is preceded in death by one son, Rise William Olvera; grandparents Leon and Priscilla Hale; brother Wyatt (Christa) Olvera; and his mother, Dawn Hale.
