Jason Iron Wing, 29, of Little Eagle passed away May 31, 2026 in McLaughlin.

Funeral services were held June 8, 2026 at the White Horse Community Center. Burial was in Emmanual Episcopal Cemetery at White Horse. Luce Funeral Home of Gettysburg was in charge of arrangements.

Jason Paul Iron Wing was born to Debbie Rousseau and Arlen Iron Wing in Pierre on March 13, 1997. He lived in White Horse until he was 3 years old. In September 2000, Jason and his family relocated to Tacoma, WA. He moved back to South Dakota, where he attended Timber Lake School. He continued to attend Timber Lake School even after moving to the country near White Horse in 2005. In 2008, Jason and his family moved to Mobridge and in 2010, he moved to Rock Creek and attended McIntosh High School until his senior year. He transferred to McLaughlin High School his last year and graduated from there in 2015.

In 2019 Jason worked at Prairie Knights Casino, where he met Marissa Kills In Water. He worked at Grand River Casino as a dealer and later as a pit boss. In 2021, he reunited with Marissa. In June of that following year, his favorite person came into the world, his son Atreus. Jason continued working at Grand River Casino until his passing.

Jason engaged in various hobbies throughout his life. Family time was often spent playing Yahtzee, going on long road trips, and gambling. He spent much of his time with Atreus teaching him to play video games, watching cartoons, and being the best dad in the world. In his alone time, he would read, listen to music, and draw. He enjoyed interacting with customers and coworkers at his job.

Jason is survived by his son, Atreus Iron Wing; mother Deborah Rousseau; grandmother Faye Rousseau; sisters Lyric (Drew) Iron Wing and Abby Iron Wing; girlfriend Marissa Kills In Water; stepsons Franklin Kills In Water Jr. and Brayden Kills In Water; aunts Elaine Littlebear, Rhonda Swan, Lisa (Shawn) Bambas; uncles Lawrence Rousseau, Francis Rousseau Jr., Donnie (Esther) Swan; and nieces nephews and cousins Jason is preceded in death by his grandpas, Francis Rousseau Sr. and Robert Iron Wing; grandma Arlene Iron Wing; step-dad Todd Shoestring; father Arlen Iron Wing; uncles Warren Swan and Stewart Swan; aunts Valarie Iron Wing, Lucy Iron Wing, and Robbie Iron Wing; favorite cousin Alethea Littlebear; cousin Donnie Swan Jr.; and other relatives.
