Josef E. LeCompte, 28, of Eagle Butte entered the Spirit World on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Rapid City.
Josef is survived by his father, Doug LeCompte, Sr. of Rapid City and his mother, Sheila Roseman Mitchell of Pocohontas, IL; a brother, Doug LeCompte, Jr. of Pocohontas; maternal grandfather Dickie Jo Roseman and maternal grandmother Stella Embich, both of Granite City, IL; uncle Dugan Thompson of Eagle Butte; aunts Anne LeCompte of Timber Lake, Rhea LeCompte of LaPlant, and Mary Jane Ducheneaux, Jerri (Casey) LaPlante and Jacqueline (Smokey) Frost of Eagle Butte; uncles Chad Roseman and Jason Roseman and aunts Kelley Roseman and Rene Roseman-Williams, all of Granite City, IL.
A memorial service was held February 28, 2023, at Rooks Funeral Services in Eagle Butte. The burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
