Josephine Lafferty

January 19, 1961 – February 13, 2024

Josephine Lafferty, 63, of Eagle Butte entered the Spirit World at the Cheyenne River Health Care Center at Eagle Butte on February 13, 2024.

A Traditional Lakota funeral service was held Friday, February 23, at the White Horse Community Center. Burial was at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery at White Horse.

Josephine is survived by her brother, Francis “Rusty” (Monica) Jewett Sr. of Eagle Butte; two sisters, Anne Marie (Ron) Lafferty of Red Wing, MN and Virginia “Sugar” (Todd) Schmitt of Fair Oaks, IN; brother, John (Taylor) Lasalle of Eagle Butte; and many nieces and nephews.
