Robbi Lee Iron Wing was born to Robert “Muscles” Iron Wing and Arlene (Jewett) Iron Wing in Little Eagle on March 21, 1971. She graduated from school in Eagle Butte and continued her education at Job Corps near Nemo.

As a young girl growing up in White Horse she enjoyed hanging out with her dog Pal. You could see her and Pal walking the ditches collecting bottles to return to Double O’s for Laffy Taffy and chew. While in high school, Robbi participated in track and field, as well as the drill team. Throughout her time here, she enjoyed her three children, Nicole Lee, Lawrence Lind III, and Carissa Iron Wing. She attended Box Elder Job Corps where she received a degree in Culinary Arts, then moved to Deadwood and worked for Calamity Jane’s as a line cook. She moved to Mobridge where she held different jobs as a line cook, including the sale barn, Burger King, The Wrangler, and the Hong Kong Chinese restaurant. Robbi loved to cook, enjoyed camping, gardening, and being able to bring it all together.

In the summer of 2000, Robbie met the love of her life, Rick McLaughlin. They made their home on the outskirts of Wakpala where they shared 22 years of marriage filled with love and laughter.

Robbi is survived by her husband Richard R. McLaughlin of Wakpala; three children: Lawrence Lind III of White Horse, Carissa Iron Wing of Belle Fourche, and Nicky Iron Wing of Sioux Falls.
