William (Bill) Donovan

William “Bill” Donovan, 80, of Rapid City died Thursday, August 20, 2020 in Rapid City. William David Donovan was born September 2, 1939 on the family farm near Hecla to Edward and Freda Elizabeth (Himes) Donovan. He attended a one room country school, Johnson School.

Norma Beckman

Norma Beckman, 94, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on August 22, 2020, at Sunrise of Sandy Assisted Living Facility. She requested to be cremated and her ashes will be buried in the Timber Lake Cemetery in June 2021 beside her husband and son-in-law.

Mass of Christian Burial for Donna Maher, 89, of Lemmon, formerly of Morristown, will be held at 10:00 a.m. MT on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lemmon with Fr. Dan Juelfs officiating. Burial will follow at the Morristown Cemetery.

Janice Kay (Hoffman) Perman, 79, passed away on August 11, 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Janice was born on May 1, 1941 in Lemmon. She graduated from high school in 1958 in Timber Lake.

Charlotte (“Chuck”) Kurtz

Charlotte “Chuck” Kurtz, 62, of Bismarck, ND passed away on August 16, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer, and after 5 years, she is now free from pain. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, at 1 p.m.

James R. “Jim” Hood

James R. “Jim” Hood, 73, of Marshalltown, Iowa and formerly of Dupree, passed away at home with his family at his side on Friday, August 14, 2020, under the care of Iowa River Hospice. James Robert Hood was born on May 1, 1947, in Sioux Falls, the son of Robert and Ruth (Lynum) Hood.

Funeral services for Donald Metcal, 64, of Eagle Butte will be at 1 p.m. MT Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Faith Community Church in Faith. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Community Center. Cremation will take place after the services.
