Defending INFR world champion Elshere still recovering from broken leg
Trey Young of Dupree will be plenty busy over the next month participating in finals rodeos. He finished the regular season atop the South Dakota Rodeo Association’s tie-down roping standings and fourth in the North Dakota Rodeo Association ranks. Young is also second in the PRCA’s Badlands Circuit standings and currently leads the race for All-Around Cowboy honors heading into the circuit finals rodeo Oct. 14-16 in Minot, ND. Cole Elshere
Reigning Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR) world champion saddle bronc rider Cole Elshere expects to be back at South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, NV, Oct. 17-23 in the hunt for his third consecutive world title.
The 32-year-old Faith cowboy won the INFR world saddle bronc championship in 2019 and again in 2021. No finals were held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
