Garrett wins saddle bronc at Cody

    Eagle Butte cowboy Shorty Garrett took top honors in saddle bronc riding in Cody, WY, while three local cowgirls won first place buckles at SDRA and NDRA events over the Fourth of July weekend.

    Garrett, currently ninth in the world standings with nearly $90,000 won this season, put up 91 points on a bronc named Talkin Smack at the Cody Stampede to bank more than $11,000 in prize money. He also earn…
