Eighth grader Charlie Hornick held off a late push by Wakpala’s Martin Plenty Chief to win the JV boys 3,000 meter race and lift Timber Lake to a second place overall finish at the Marlene Gustafson/Ryan Day Memorial Cross Country Meet held Friday, Sept. 2, at the North Shore Golf Course near Faith.
Hornick clocked in with a time of 11:37.31 while Plenty Chief finished in 11:54.70. ...
