Isabel cowboy shares All-Around honors at Timber Lake HS Rodeo

Timber Lake High School Rodeo Club member Rope Roghair grabbed a share of All-Around honors at the Timber Lake High School Rodeo on Saturday, May 25, with a pair of first place finishes.Roghair was one of two saddle bronc riders who beat the whistle, scoring 63 points to take top honors.

Maher scores a hat trick at Dewey Co. 4-H Rodeo

If Pete Maher was a hockey player, he’d be celebrating a hat trick - the scoring of three goals. The McLaughlin youngster picked up the rodeo equivalent of a hat trick on Sunday, garnering first place in two events and topping the day off by winning Jr.
The Timber Lake Panthers foursome of Holden Gill, Cole Ducheneaux, Gavin Farlee and Gracen Hansen set a new school record in the 1600 meter relay at the Super Region Meet in Gettysburg last Thursday, May 16. Their time of 3:32.94 bettered the previous record of 3:34 set in 2006 by Josh Crance, Bryan Aberle, Cody Aberle and Tyler Kraft.

Last Thursday, May 9, was a banner day for the Timber Lake High School track program, as the Panthers dominated the Little Moreau Conference meet - winning the boys varsity, junior high boys and junior high girls team championships and finishing runner-up in varsity girls competition.

The Timber Lake Panther boys golf team posted a third place finish at the Black Hills Classic played at Hart Ranch near Rapid City on Monday, May 13, with two players medaling with top five finishes. Wall won the team title with 245 strokes, followed by Hill City with 248 and Timber Lake with 261.
