A hard-fought win in a brutal four-game match with Sully Buttes followed by a sweep of Lemmon last week pushed the Timber Lake Lady Panthers to 9-12 overall this as they prepare for the final four games of their regular season schedule.

The 2023 region cross country meets got underway Wednesday, Oct. 11, as this issue of the Timber Lake Topic was going to press.
In Class A, the top 20 finishers and up to six runners from the top three teams at the region meet advance to the state cross country meet.

Harding County/Bison running back Rylee Veal, center, proved to be a handful for the Timber Lake Panther defense last Friday. Veal rushed 36 times for 268 yards and scored five touchdowns to lead the No. 5 ranked Ranchers past the Panthers 48-28 to close out the regular season. Upset-minded TL drops decision to No. 5 Ranchers

Upset-minded Timber Lake got off to a quick start and led No. 5 ranked Harding County/Bison most of the first half last Friday, Oct. 6, but the Ranchers’ relentless running attack led a 48-28 loss for the Panthers to close out the regular season.
