Region XC meets underway in both Region 4A and 4B

The 2023 region cross country meets got underway Wednesday, Oct. 11, as this issue of the Timber Lake Topic was going to press. In Class A, the top 20 finishers and up to six runners from the top three teams at the region meet advance to the state cross country meet.

Harding County/Bison running back Rylee Veal, center, proved to be a handful for the Timber Lake Panther defense last Friday. Upset-minded TL drops decision to No. 5 Ranchers

Upset-minded Timber Lake got off to a quick start and led No. 5 ranked Harding County/Bison most of the first half last Friday, Oct. 6, but the Ranchers’ relentless running attack led a 48-28 loss for the Panthers to close out the regular season.

X-Man’ seventh at C-EB Invitational

at Timber Lake’s Xavier Sanchez-Gonzalez cruised the 5,000 meter course in 19:28 to claim seventh place honors at the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Cross Country Invitational last Thursday, Oct. 5. The event was held at the Eagle Butte golf course.
