Local cowboys advance to National HS Finals Rodeo

Isabel’s Hayes Burress, Wynn Lawrence of White Horse, andTanner Thorstenson of Lantry punched their tickets to the National High School Finals Rodeo by capturing state titles at the South Dakota High School Finals Rodeo in Ft. Pierre last week.

Timber Lake High School graduate Jasmine Nash is building on a standout high school career as she continues track and field at Bismarck State College.In high school, Nash was a four year, three sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track and field.

High school competitors compete in state qualifier

The second of two Northwest Regional Rodeos was held Friday and Saturday, June 12-13, with several area competitors punching their ticket to the South Dakota High School Finals Rodeo already underway this week in Ft. Pierre.Area competitors posting top 10 finishes were: Bareback riding - 2.

TLSH golfers in first state meet ever

McIntosh standout Wyatt Larson fired a 75 at the South Dakota State Golf Tournament in Brookings June 1-2 to tie for ninth place overall along.Timber Lake made its first appearance ever in this year’s meet with Hadley Thompson shooting an 82 to tie for 38th place.

‘Lightning’ Boldt leads Panther girls at State Track & Field meet

Timber Lake eighth grader Josie Boldt posted two Top 4 finishes in the sprints and also carried the baton on the fourth place finishing 800 meter relay to lead the Panthers at the South Dakota State HS Track Meet held in Sioux Falls over the weekend.
