Timber Lake students win top honors at High Plains Science & Engineering Fair
Dustin Kraft (LEFT) and Ethan Johnston showed the top projects at the High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair hosted virtually by the S.D. School of Mines and Technology. They will show their projects at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, which will also be held virtually. Dustin’s project partner, Tuffy Simon, is not pictured.

Two projects from Timber Lake High School tied for first place and will both represent the High Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. Both are virtual events due to the pandemic.
Ethan Johnston’s project was “Wind Turbine Blades” and Tuffy Simon Dustin Kraft’s project was “The Effects of Social Conformity.”
