Moreau-Grand Electric Cooperative members will gather at the new headquarters building in Timber Lake for their annual meeting on Wednesday, October 9.Tours of the building are offered beginning at 3 p.m. and registration and a roast beef dinner (served by Red Earth Table) will begin at 5:00.

Longtime educator and Eagle Butte native Gay Kingman of Rapid City was inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame during ceremonies held Sept 1314, in Chamberlain. Kingman, inducted under the category of education, was described as “A champion for human rights.

More cattle reported missing in Corson County

The South Dakota Brand Board has reported 80 head of cattle missing from Corson County.40 cows and 40 calves went missing on September 14 from Travis Kelsch’s property, which is 18 miles east of McLaughlin and 16 miles northwest of Mobridge. The cattle were last seen on June 1.
The DakotaPlex Apartments were moved into place at the corner of Sixth and F in Timber Lake. Each component has three bedrooms and garage parking will be constructed between them. State board revokes Mobridge cop’s certification over sexual harassment

The South Dakota Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Training Commission last week revoked the certification of a Mobridge police officer who admitted to sexually harassing a female officer he was helping train.Nate Bratland cannot apply for re-certification for at least one year.

A 42-year-old rural Isabel man will face trial in February 2025 on multiple felony drug and gun charges stemming from his arrest earlier this year.Ryan James Farlee will face trial Feb. 18-21, 2025, with a pre-trial hearing set Jan. 29, 2025, in Sturgis.
