Early childhood screening set for October 10

The Timber Lake School District, in conjunction with Northwest Area Schools Educational Cooperative, has scheduled its annual Early Childhood Screening for children birth through pre-kindergarten age.

Grand Canyon bison relocated to Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe

Grand Canyon National Park captured 100 buffalo from the North Rim last Friday, Sept. 13, and relocated to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, with the help of an inter-tribal group.Last summer marked the first time that no buffalo were captured since the roundups began in 2018.
