On Saturday June 15, 2024 a group of over 100 people of all ages gathered to celebrate their “Prairie Proud” connections at the Dupree Area Black Hills Picnic “Revival” at Spearfish City Park. The picnic was held in the Black Hills from 1984-2013.

Fire destroys mobile home on DuBray ranch

The Timber Lake Fire Dept. responded to three fires in four days recently, including a residential blaze on the Leroy DuBray ranch south of Mobridge on Thursday morning, June 27, which completely destroyed a mobile home.

The Cheyenne River Youth Project will host its 10th Annual RedCan Invitational Graffiti Jam this weekend, July 10-13, welcoming 14 graffiti and street artists from as far away as New Zeeland for the organization’s annual four-day arts and culture festival.

Both the Timber Lake and Isabel Fire Departments presented spectacular fireworks displays last Thursday, the Fourth of July, after community members gathered for some food, fun and fellowship. A few rain showers earlier in the day could not dampen the patriotic spirit of either community.

CRST, Ziebach Co. roadway improvement project gets funding

Mni Waste Water Co. granted another $6.5 million for improvement projects

The Mni Waste Water Company, formerly known as Tri-County Water, has been awarded another grant of more than $6.5 million for improvements to its system, including a new water tower.The tribally-chartered company received a similar grant in April for just under $6.5 million.
