200 Club Drawings held at Dupree

The Sacred Heart Parish of Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings on Sunday, June 16 following Holy Mass potluck supper and meeting at the church hall.

Paxton receives SDAESP recognition

Timber Lake Elementary School Principal Danae Paxton was one of four principals from across the state nominated as the 2024 National Distinguished Principal for South Dakota honors recently at a conference in Deadwood.
The former Isabel Senior Citizens Center - originally built by Masonic Sunshine Lodge 163 in 1961 - closed last July, triggering a decades-old, unwritten agreement giving ownership to Masonic Lodge 172 in Eagle Butte.

Masons assume ownership of former Isabel Sr. Citizens Center

Sticking to a decades-old unwritten agreement, ownership of the former Isabel Senior Citizen Center which has been vacant and unused for a year has reverted to Masonic Lodge 172 of Eagle Butte - even though the organization doesn’t really want it.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Corson County Sheriff Alan Dale June 107:09 a.m. received a report of vehicles speeding through a construction zone on Highway 12, seven miles west of Mobridge.10:14 p.m. conducted a traffic stop on Highway 12 by Walker. A probable cause search was conducted.
