The Isabel Community Center has been designated a severe summer weather/tornado shelter after the town’s board of trustees voted last Tuesday, May 14, to approve a memorandum of understanding with Dewey County Emergency Management.

School board okays added improvements at Doug Kraft Field

The Timber Lake School Board last week approved $85,000 in concrete work for improvements behind the grandstand at Doug Kraft Field, but stopped short of dropping more than $100,000 to chemically-treat and re-stripe the track.

Tribal authorities investigating death of 9-year-old

The Cheyenne River Police are investigating the death of a nineyear- old Eagle Butte boy who was found deceased beside his bicycle on Saturday, May 18, with injuries that may have contributed to his passing. The child was reportedly under the guardianship of a grandparent.
