TL City Board reorganizes

The Timber Lake City Board seated a new member, voted to lease city property, and heard about a new community website at two meetings last Wednesday, May 8. Tanner Kraft took the oath of office for a two-year term to which he was recently elected.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Corson County Sheriff Alan Dale April 29 4:44 p.m. report of a hit and run accident on Highway 12, five miles west of McLaughlin. April 30 6:54 a.m. responded to a single vehicle injury accident on Highway 63, one mile north of McLaughlin.

Secretary of State Monae L. Johnson is warning South Dakotans to be aware of scammers after citizens have reported receiving calls, coming from random numbers with a 605area code, where the caller is claiming they are with the Secretary of State’s office.

An attraction to an old building and the desire to bring new life to Main Street in McIntosh has resulted in the opening of a new motherdaughter business venture in the former American Legion hall.
