Isabel, SDAC partner for new solar lights on airport runway

The town of Isabel has entered into an agreement with the South Dakota Aeronautics Commission for new runway lighting at the community’s airport, making it one of only a handful of dusk-to-dawn airport facilities in western South Dakota.

Rapid City man sentenced for possessing gun stolen in Isabel

A 33-year-old Rapid City man convicted of possessing a firearm when he is prohibited from doing so was sentenced Monday, July 31, to federal prison. The firearm involved in the case is a handgun found to have been stolen in a burglary at Reloader's Corner in Isabel in August 2022.
New Management The as-of-yet-to-be-named cafe in Timber Lake, or the former R Rockin Bar which was recently purchased by a group of local investors, has a new manager. Jeremy Holien of Firesteel has been hired as manager and will be assisted in the operation by his children, Parker, 20, and Elena, 18. Not pictured is Spencer, 16. The cafe is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The new phone number is 605-865-3293.
