Dewey County 4-H Members Achievement Days Project Accomplishments

Dewey County 4-H members showed their project accomplishments and what they learned during the 2023 4-H year on Thursday, July 27 at the Dewey County Achievement Day held in Timber Lake. The 4-H members, ranging from ages 8-18, brought 209 exhibits, including 6 music presentations.

Focus on Rodeo

TRAIL CITY NEWS

Trail City received about 6 and ½ inches of rain over the weekend. On Friday night, Jared and Mason Hollenbeck went to the Mobridge Demolition derby. On Saturday, Mason celebrated his 10th birthday with family in Mobridge.

Meals on Wheels

Monday, August 14: Baked steak w/mushroom gravy, baked potato, green beans, peaches, and bread. Tuesday, August 15: Beef cabbage soup, turkey sandwich, crackers, and tropical fruit. Wednesday, August 16: Mandarin orange chicken, parsley potatoes, broccoli, cranberry crunch salad, and bread.

“There were a lot of ballots to count after this year’s parade and I think every parade entry got votes,” said Days of 1910 parade chairman Johny Weber. “In some categories, it was a fight to the finish to see who was the People’s Choice.
