It's time for the annual Days of 1910 gatherings. The town has celebrated in various ways for 113 years! This year will be no exception with all the usual things to do! Those of us who live here always get to experience gradual changes while those of you who visit may be surprised by the new looks.

Last board meeting in the ‘old building’

The board of directors of Western Dakota Bank held a board meeting on Tuesday, July 25 at the present site of the bank. President John Templer said this was the last board meeting in the old building.

Hahne to fill Landis’ seat on Moreau-Grand Electric board

Moreau-Grand members will not have a director election this year, as three candidates have filed petitions for the three vacancies. Lynn Hahne of Trail City has filed for the District 3 (Trail City-Timber Lake) position previously held by Kelly Landis, who passed away June 25.

Moran edges Cudmore in CRST Dist.1 council race

Unofficial results from the July 18 Special General Election of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe had Ziebach County Sheriff Gary Cudmore defeating Steve Moran for the District 1 seat on the CRST Tribal Council. by just one vote, 131-130.

Hayley Bentz, Ducheneaux earn degrees

Hayley Leibel Bentz of Selby and Ty Ducheneaux of Timber Lake were 2023 graduates from South Dakota State University Hayley, a 2014 graduate of Timber Lake High School, graduated with a Master of Science from SDSU’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.
