Sealed bids for Dewey County Courthouse Roof will be received by the Dewey County Auditor, PO Box 277, Timber Lake, SD 57656, until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday August 2, 2023. All bids shall use specifications calling for 26 in.

Area counties awarded grants through Help America Vote Act

Dewey and Ziebach counties are among 22 in the state approved recently to receive grants through the Help America Vote Act (HAVA). According to the HAVA state plan, counties may apply for a grant or pre-approval of an In-Person Satellite Voting Center.

The town of Isabel and the South Dakota Dept. of Game, Fish & Parks (GF&P) are negotiating a joint powers agreement that will answer a question that’s been asked for more than two years: Who’s responsible for the development, improvement and maintenance of areas around Isabel Lake?

TL School Board adopts new Grade 6-8 English curriculum

Timber Lake Middle School students will be introduced to a new English curriculum when they return to class this fall. School board members adopted the curriculum last Wednesday, July 12, based on the recommendation of the district’s English Professional Learning Community (PLC) group.
