Timber Lake city board okays two new ordinances

At its June 5 regular meeting, the Timber Lake City Board adopted two ordinances, renewed membership in the Central S.D. Enhancement District, and discussed a building permit. The two ordinances are for water and sewer and replace previous ordinances.

Veronica Handeland (LEFT), a member of the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, was the guest speaker at Timber Lake’s Memorial Day program on May 29. She called to mind the deaths of two local young men who lost their lives in service to the country.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Corson County Sheriff Alan Dale May 23 11:04 a.m. responded to Little Eagle for a male who witnessed a drug transaction. 4:13 p.m. responded to a business in McLaughlin for a report of a vehicle that had been broken into. May 24 8:44 p.m.

New connections

A crew from Eagle River Utility of Fargo, ND was in Timber Lake last week to dig in fiber optic lines for new broadband customers for CRST Telephone Authority. Here they are working on the Timber Lake School’s teacher housing.

She’s done this before!

It was not Bobbie Farlee’s first blood donation when Vitalant conducted a blood drive at Timber Lake on May 24. In fact, she has donated 30 times. The blood drive crew from Bismarck reported 17 units were collected that day.
