Corson County Sheriff Alan Dale April 10 6:47 a.m. assisted the McIntosh Ambulance at a residence in McIntosh. 3:52 p.m. responded to a civil matter at a residence in Kenel. 7:06 p.m. was flagged down on Highway 12 by McIntosh. The female stated she was assaulted. Report was sent to BIA Police.

U.S. DISTRICT COURT

March 29, 2023 Chief Judge Roberto A. Lange sentenced Daniel Red Horse, Jr., 52, of Eagle Butte to 33 months in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, and ordered him to pay a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

Twelve new members were inducted into the Timber Lake High School National Honor Society in a ceremony on April 11. NHS president A.J. Lindskov, NHS Advisor LuAnn Lindskov, and HS Principal Julie Marshall spoke to the inductees and the audience.

Timber Lake students earn 17 awards at NWAS Academic Olympics

TLHS students collected 17 awards, including first place in the Freshman Quiz Bowl, at the annual Northwest Area Schools Academic Olympics competition held at Dupree on April 12.
