Kaius Thomas Castaneda was born on March 11, 2023 weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 17 inches long. He is the son of Micaela and Guillermo Castaneda of Sioux Falls.

The remains of Sitting Bull were virtually “stolen“ from under the nose of North Dakota early Wednesday morning. The remains were taken from the grave at Fort Yates N.D.

Mason Hollenbeck and Kyrie Lemburg visited Esther Goldade at the Walworth County Care Center in Selby. They also attended a 40th anniversary party for Leo and Bev Selzler in Mobridge. On Easter Sunday, Jared, Mason, and Kyrie had dinner at Craig and Cathy Lemburg’s in Timber Lake.

A former clergyman accused of sexually abusing a minor in Faith in the early 1980s but never criminally charged due to lack of evidence will remain out of the public ministry. According to the Catholic Diocese of Rapid City he has not been defrocked and maintains the title as a priest.

Tribal voters have plenty of choices in CRST Primary

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) will hold a Primary Election on Tuesday, April 25, to fill three seats on the tribal council, including those vacated by now Chairman Ryman LeBeau and Treasurer Kevin Keckler.
