P-T Conferences

Friday, February 17 will be a day off school for students and teachers at Timber Lake. Teachers will have parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday and Thursday, February 15 and 16 from 4-7 p.m. Timber Lake will have school on Presidents Day, Monday, February 20.

CRST special primary election slated April 25

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe’s (CRST) Office of the Tribal Secretary last week posted notice that a special primary election will be held on Tuesday, April 25, for the purpose of nominating candidates for three unexpired terms on the tribal council.

Dewey, Ziebach commissioners adopt disaster declaration resolutions

The Dewey and Ziebach county commissions both adopted resolutions at special meetings on Friday, January 27 declaring disaster emergencies due to the December winter storms.

SHERIFF’S REPORT

Corson County Sheriff Alan Dale January 16 10:39 a.m. responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the McLaughlin area. 3:40 p.m. received a report of horses out on Highway 63, on the north side of McLaughlin. 10:25 p.m.

DHS students will be Legislative Pages

Dupree High School seniors Shayna Farlee and Emily Olsen were among those selected to serve as a legislative pages for the 2023 legislative season in Pierre. Olsen goes into the position with experience since she was also a page in Pierre last winter as a junior in high school.

School Board Recognition Week set for February 20-24

During the week of February 20, Timber Lake School District 20-3 will join districts across the state as we thank school board members for their leadership and service to our school district and the community. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated school board.

Megan O’Leary – Junior Kindergarten Junior Kindergarten loves their Panther Pals! Our Panther Pals visit us every Wednesday and is a muchanticipated activity each week. The last Wednesday of the month is shared reading favorite children’s books together. This week we explored stories on getepic.
