Monday, January 16: Closed - Martin Luther King Day. Tuesday, January 17: Swiss steak, cheesy mashed potatoes, seasoned cooked spinach, peaches, and bread. Wednesday, January 18: Chili, cinnamon roll, spinach salad w/craisins and almonds, and Mandarin oranges.

Many area residents spent Sunday watching Timber Lake native Tucker Kraft play in the FCS Championship football game between the SDSU Jackrabbits and the NDSU Bison. Joy Voegele and Blake and Bianca Ochsner were over at Esther Hahne's house over the weekend to visit.

Jon Dean Booth born Nov. 12

Jace and Becky Booth of Timber Lake are proud to announce the arrival of their son, Jon Dean. He was born November 12, 2022 at 12:34 p.m. He weighed 8 lbs., 9 oz. and was 23 inches long. Jon joins his three sisters Jalee, Blake, and Jensyn.

MLK Holiday

Monday, January 16 is a state and federal holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Government offices, banks and post offices will be closed but locally most businesses will be open. Timber Lake will have no school on Friday, January 13 but teachers will have in-service that day.

County board makes annual appointments

The Dewey County Commissioners reelected Bob Berndt as chairman and John Meginness as vice-chairman before tackling a lengthy agenda at the annual reorganization meeting on January 3.

Blood drives

Two blood drives are scheduled for next week. On Monday, January 16, blood donations will be collected at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall in Dupree from 2 to 5:30 p.m. To make an appointment, call Twyla Schuler at 605-365-5463.
