Statewide homeless count set for January 24

On Jan. 24 South Dakota Housing for the Homeless Consortium (SDHHC), an affiliate of South Dakota Housing Development Authority (SDHDA), will conduct its annual statewide Point-In-Time (PIT) homeless count.

Clint Farlee honored for serving 48 years as Ziebach County Commissioner

Clint Farlee of Dupree was honored last week when Gov. Kristi Noem declared December 29, 2022 as Clint Farlee Day in South Dakota. Farlee is retiring from the Ziebach County Commission after serving 48 years on the board. The Governor’s Proclamation details his service:

On-line ag discussions to resume Jan. 20

South Dakota State University Extension will continue its Ag Economic Dialogues series in 2023 to address current economic issues that farmers and ranchers face. The monthly series will start 10 a.m. CT (9 a.m. MT) on Jan. 20 and will continue the third Friday of every month until Dec. 15, 2023.

ZUCCHINI CASSEROLE

1 C. ground fresh jalapeno peppers (seeded) wear gloves ½ C. bell peppers, seeded and ground 1 C. cider vinegar 5 C. sugar 1 Med. Jar Maraschino cherries ground 1 Med. Can crushed pineapple, drained 1 - 6 oz. package of pectin or ½ C. EZ Jell Few drops of green food coloring (optional).
