200 Club Drawings held in Dupree

The Sacred Heart Church in Dupree held their monthly 200 Club Drawings Sunday, November 2 following Holy Mass and Brunch. Winners were: $50 – Mya Schad of Lantry and Yvonne Donovan of Pierre; $25 – Bill Mraz of Dupree, Dan Schrempp of Eagle Butte, and Twila Schuler and Virginia Hertel of Dupree.

USDA/FSA Update

Veterans Day

Recipe deadline

Recipes for the Topic Holiday Cookbook will be accepted until Monday, Nov. 28. They can be submitted by email to: timtopic@lakotanetwork.com or mailed or dropped off. Names of those sending recipes (up to three per person) will be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift certificate. Thank you!

Santa Claus

The jolly old elf from the North Pole will visit Timber Lake on Saturday, December 3. He and his elf crew will be at the Timber Lake Community Center at 2 p.m. with Christmas stockings for the kids and cookies and door prizes.

Community Calendars

The Timber Lake-Isabel and Dupree Community Calendars for December will be published in the Topic next week. Anyone with events to list is asked to submit them to the Topic by noon on Monday, November 28 (timtopic@lakotanetwork.com)

Closed for Thanksgiving

Government offices, schools and most businesses will be closed on Thanksgiving. State and Dewey County offices will also be closed on Friday, November 25, but federal offices, including post offices, will be open on Friday.
