The Sacred Heart Parish of Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings Sunday, October 16, 2022, following Holy Mass & Brunch at the church hall.

McIntosh Daycare continues upgrades in preparation for winter

A year after opening, the McIntosh Community Daycare is averaging 7 or 8 children a day and sometimes up to 11.

Election signs not allowed in right-of -way

The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) reminds the public that political campaign and ballot-issue signs cannot be placed on state highway rights-of-way. “Election signs are showing up along the state’s roadways,” says Craig Smith, Director of Operations.

Reiss leaves CSDED to lead Municipal League

The South Dakota Municipal League (SDML) has selected David Reiss of Pierre as its next executive director. Reiss will begin his duties Nov. 1, succeeding long-time executive director Yvonne Taylor, who will retire at the end of 2022.

Isabel board okays law enforcement agreement

After some back-and-forth over wording, the Isabel Board of Trustees and the Dewey County Board of Commissioners have approved an agreement for law enforcement services the county will provide the community. Isabel officials signed off on the compromise last Tuesday, Oct. 11.
