For the first time in three years, there’s some good news for hunters heading into South Dakota’s 2022 pheasant hunting season ... expect to find a strong population in the north central region of the state - specifically Dewey, Corson, Ziebach, Walworth, Mead and Perkins counties.

Isabel board approves higher budget for 2023

The town of Isabel’s budget for 2023 is more than $100,000 higher than 2022 - a reflection of the ongoing $2 million sewer/water infrastructure project that was approved early this year. Town officials okayed the 2023 appropriation ordinance at a special meeting last Tuesday, Sept. 27.
