Timber Lake students who partiicpated in the Summer Reading Program and met their Accelerated Reader goals were presented with tshirts when they returned to school this fall.

Poll shows support for Medicaid expansion in South Dakota

South Dakota voters strongly support Amendment D to expand Medicaid, and want the legislature to act quickly to implement expansion if it passes, according to a new statewide poll. Amendment D is on the 2022 general electcion ballot.

On Saturday, Jared Hollenbeck and Kyrie Lemburg watched Mason play football in Selby. After the football games, they visited Esther Goldade and Vi Lemburg. Marsha Aberle had lunch with Lorna Johnson on Thursday in Mobridge. Jim and Jackie Keller attended the Coal Springs Threshing Bee on Saturday.

October 3: Swedish meatballs, parslied potatoes, baked squash, peaches, and bread. October 4: Chicken in celery sauce, mashed potatoes, Carolina beans, strawberry applesauce, and bread. October 5: Pizza casserole, Italian blend vegetables, tropical fruit, garlic bread, and cookie.
Norman Hieb (RIGHT) was invited to start the line at the meal served at the Timber Lake School Healing Hands (Owaste Napiceya) Garden on September 19. Lola Hornick (LEFT) was one of the servers. Dishes prepared from the garden’s produce were served, along with burgers from beef donated by Lindskov LT Ranch, Schrempp Cattle Co., Maher Ranch, and Hornick Ranch.
