Many people of Trail City are busy with wheat harvest arriving. On Saturday, Jared and Mason Hollenbeck visited Beth Hollenbeck in Mobridge. On Sunday, Mason traveled to Aberdeen with Brent, Melanie and Ben Mareska.

Health promotion and personal safety

The annual wellness exam is one of my favorite things to do as a doctor. It’s a chance to talk about one of my passions: health promotion. As most patients expect, our health promotion discussion includes smoking cessation, diet, and exercise.

Bridge work

The South Dakota Dept. of Transportation is using large cranes to remove and replace the bridge deck on Highway 12 over the railroad tracks just east of McIntosh. The project also includes widening the grading up to the bridge.

Maciejewski attends Dakota Dreams Camp

One hundred seventh and eighth grade students converged on South Dakota State University’s campus to take part in the Dakota Dreams Summer Exploration Camp the last week of July. Preston Maciejewski of Timber Lake was one of the participants.

Showmanship winner

Stella Nilson of Timber Lake showed her Hereford heifer, Buttercup, in the open class baby beef cattle show at the Campbell/Walworth Achievement Day in Selby on July 23. They received a purple ribbon, and Stella won the Beginner Beef Showmanship Award.
