Ziebach Co. Sheriff Cudmore running for CRST Chairman

Sheriff Gary Cudmore of Dupree announces that he is running for Chairman of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. Cudmore was born and raised on the Cheyenne River Reservation and is currently the Sheriff of Ziebach County.

Baler fire

On July 12 at 12:46 p.m. the Timber Lake Volunteer Fire Department dispatched one Type 6 and one Water Tender to a baler fire east of White Horse. Also responding was Cheyenne River BIA Fire with Engine 0163. Approximately 0.15 acre burned and the baler was a total loss. No injuries were reported.

National Night Out event slated in McLaughlin

Law enforcement and medical first responders will host Corson County’s second annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 5-8 p.m. in the McLaughlin City Park.
