Richard Kilbane from Chesterfield, Ohio was over last Sunday at Chuck and Marsha Aberle’s house for supper. Tim Bollinger was there for supper on Monday night. Joy Voegele and Bianca Ochsner from Aberdeen were visiting Esther Hahne Saturday and Sunday.

CRYP announces lineup for annual RedCan event

Twelve artists from Native nations and cities across North America will be featured at the Cheyenne River Youth Project's 8th Annual RedCan gathering Wednesday through Saturday, July 6-9, in Eagle Butte. RedCan is the first and only graffiti jam in Indian Country.

Juneteenth Holiday

Because the new national holiday, Juneteenth, falls on Sunday, June 19, it will be observed on Monday, June 20. Government offices, post offices and banks will be closed. Locally, most businesses will be open.

Election tallies

The votes cast in Dewey County at the June 7 primary election can be found on page 3. The Dewey County Commission canvassed the results at a special meeting on June 9 and found no changes from what was initially reported.
