Dupree celebrates graduation

The Dupree High School Class of 2022 celebrated their graduation on Saturday, May 14 and entered to the traditional ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ with their Junior Escorts, Treg Thorstenson and Haydon Starr, leading them to their seats.

McLaughlin National Honor Society inductees

Nineteen students at McLaughlin High School were inducted April 26 into the National Honor Society.

Timber Lake Elementary presents Spring Concert

Dupree academic, fine arts awards presented

On May 5, the Dupree JH/HS held their annual Academic & Fine Arts Awards Ceremony. Each staff member, as well as administration, presented their awards as listed here by student for the 7th-12th in alphabetical order. Angel Anderson-Honor Student, Student Council, and Forensics.

Dupree Booster Club hosts athletic awards banquet

The Dupree Booster Club held their annual athletic banquet with a meal and beautiful purple and gold decorations as they celebrated the accomplishments of the Dupree JH/ HS student athletes.

Walk for Deb

This year’s Timber Lake Middle School Cancer Walk raised $11,103 to support retired teacher Deb Meginness in her fight against cancer. That was the largest amount raised since the event began. Audrey Jackson and Cindy Biegler (ABOVE) were among those who walked the track at Doug Kraft Field.

Isabel town board okays purchase of 2017pickup truck

Meeting in special session Monday, May 16, the Isabel Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a used pickup truck from a local dealer to replace a failing municipal department vehicle, despite one board member's complaint the upgrade is “too nice” for the town's needs.

Timber Lake City Board reelects Hermes as chair

On May 10, the Timber Lake City Board reorganized after installing members who began their new terms. Taking the oath of office were Tom Hermes, who was then reelected president of the five-member board, Sandra Koenig, and Mike LaCompte.
