School board meets April 14

The Timber Lake School Board, at its April 14 meeting, approved salaries for administrators, set a special meeting for April 20 to consider bids for a new concession stand/rest rooms and hired coaches. The administrators’ salaries for 2022-2023 will be $115,00 for Supt.

Mareska to succeed Assman as McIntosh School superintendent

The McIntosh School Board has named Principal Tyler Mareska to succeed Tiffany Assman as school superintendent after accepting her resignation last month.

Divers find man’s body in Lake Oahe

The search for a 70-year-old Wakpala man who went missing Jan. 27 while ice fishing on Lake Oahe near Mobridge concluded Monday, April 18, when divers located his body and vehicle in the lake.

Over 300 entries to be shown at Mobridge Art Show

The 46th Annual Mobridge Art Show will held April 23 and 24 at Scherr-Howe Arena on Main Street of Mobridge. The show will be open to the public from 12:00 noon until 5:00 CT both days. All entries must be brought into the arena on Thursday for judging on Friday.
