On Sunday, Jim and Jackie Keller were in Mobridge for Jackson Weise's first communion. Last Sunday, Tim Bollinger had supper with Chuck and Marsha Aberle. On Tuesday, Rod Harlow had supper with them.

Isabel Dakotan April 9, 1992 Boysen named Postmaster Mrs. Bernie (Bonnie) Boysen of rural Firesteel has been appointed the Isabel Postmaster. The appointment was effective as of Saturday, April 4, 1992.

Going underground

Moreau-Grand Electric is changing direction with its plan to build a new headquarters building at Timber Lake.

Petition filed

Ashley Arpan of Timber Lake has filed a petition to run for Dewey County Sheriff as an Independent. He is presently Chief Deputy Sheriff. The other candidates for sheriff are three Democrats - Jeff Ward, Chuck LeCompte and Tim Peet - who will face off in the June 7 primary election.

Clean Out Clean Up

This Friday and Saturday are Clean Out/Clean Up Days in Timber Lake. Residents are encouraged to put giveaway items along the curb for others to take on Friday.

School board accepts bid from Octa-Flex

Two months after receiving an estimate of nearly a half-million dollars for the construction of a concession stand/restroom facility at Doug Kraft Field, the Timber Lake School Board last week accepted a local bid to complete the project for more than half that amount.
