Twins celebrate 80 years

Tommy Ducheneaux and his twin sister, Mary Jane Anderson, were honored with an 80th birthday party on Saturday, March 12 at the Timber Lake Community Center. A crowd of family and friends attended to celebrate with them.

Workwear line inspired by DX Ranch introduced by Oregon-based company

Dovetail Workwear, a womenowned and designed clothing label based in Portland, OR, announced last week it is expanding its reach with a new collection inspired and influenced by the women of the DX Ranch, a fourth-generation Oceti Sakowin cattle ranch near LaPlant.

Ten days ago, a good and decent man arrived for training. He and his friends spent days preparing for maneuvers, loading equipment, decades-old, packaged food and supplies from soviet-era warehouses into tanks and armored personnel carriers and trucks of every kind.

No school

There will be no school for Timber Lake students and teachers on Friday, March 18.

Isabel Legion supper Monday

The Isabel American Legion Auxiliary will host the annual Legion Birthday Supper on Saturday, March 19 at the Isabel Senior Center. A pancake and sausage supper will be served at 6 p.m., with grab bag bingo to follow.
